Markdown Annotate does not collect, store or share any personal data.
No accounts, analytics or tracking
The app has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking. It contains no third-party code that collects data, and it doesn't send anything to a server of ours.
Your files stay where you keep them
The app reads and writes Markdown files in its own folder on your device, and in folders you choose to open, for example in iCloud Drive or another app's folder. If those folders sync, they do so through Apple or that provider, under their terms.
Highlights and settings
Highlights, notes and settings are stored on your device. If you choose, highlights are kept instead in a .annotations.json file next to each Markdown file, or written into the file itself as <mark> tags.
Links
Links to websites open in the system browser. What those websites collect is up to them.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
